The Governor has lifted the evacuation order affecting Jasper County as of 3:00PM Thursday, September 5th, 2019. Residents should still be cautious about some concerns that still exist. As of 1:30 PM, Palmetto Electric and Dominion Energy reported a total of 8 customers without power. The number of outages will continue to fluctuate throughout the day. 

Currently, the following road problems are reported:

Bolan Hall Rd- The dirt portion has limited access, impassable for cars

Myrtle Pl- has two washouts that are impassible

Schools and Government Offices:

The Town of Ridgeland Government offices reopened at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 5th

Jasper County Government Offices will re-open 9AM Friday, September 6th

City of Hardeeville Government Offices will re-open 8:30AM Friday, September 6th 

County Recycling Centers will re-open at 7AM Friday, September 6th 

Jasper County School District will re-open Monday, September 9^th

The Jasper County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will return to Opcon 3 and return to standby status.

The shelter located at 250 Jaguar Trail in Ridgeland will be closing.
