CASE #:
19-245-143

SUSPECT #1:
Javon Deshawn Williams, 20-year old Richmond resident

STOLEN VEHICLE:
2015 Black Mercedes C25

On September 2, 2019, at approximately 06:26 P.M., a Milpitas Police Officer located an unoccupied stolen vehicle at the Great Mall of the Bay Area. The vehicle, a 2015 Mercedes C25, was reported stolen to the California Highway Patrol – Contra Costa Division earlier in the morning. Officers saw Javon Deshawn Williams, a 20 year-old Richmond resident, enter the vehicle and drive away.

Officers attempted to stop Williams and he fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers used Stop Sticks, a pursuit prevention device, to deflate the vehicle tires. Williams stopped the Mercedes on Interstate 880 near Brokaw Road in San Jose.

Williams ran from officers and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. Williams had a felony warrant for his arrest from the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation for a parole violation associated with a prior robbery. Williams was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting and evading arrest, and his outstanding warrant.
