Deputy Steven McPeters of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Bridgett Leigh Miller, 40, address listed as Davis Park in Marion, with possession of stolen goods, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and resisting a public officer.
                At 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, while in the area of Hicks Chapel Church, on U.S. 221 North, McPeters saw a pickup truck pulling a utility trailer that had no tag on it.
                An investigation showed that the trailer had been reported stolen by John Tarantino, of Hunt Lane in Marion, in September 2018.
                Miller resisted the deputy during arrest and was found in possession of 14 pain pills.
