WOOD COUNTY CLEAN SWEEP - SEPT 7Th at the Saratoga Town Hall.

Limited amounts of hazardous waste from households and farms and can be brought in free of charge for safe, convenient and legal disposal. Materials should be properly identified in their original containers with original labels. Do not mix substances together.

Accepted items include: unused chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, oil-based paints, cleaners, varnishes, wood sealers, auto and workshop chemicals and other hazardous products. Mercury thermometers and thermostats will also be accepted.
Quantities are generally limited to 5 gallons or 50 pounds.
Items NOT accepted include: tires, latex paint, motor oil, antifreeze, fluorescent bulbs and appliances.
Products that are brought in and are still usable will be made available to other Clean Sweep participants at no cost.

Agricultural chemical pre-registration is required for quantities over 200 pounds. Businesses can also participate in Clean Sweep to dispose of unwanted chemicals in an easy, low-cost way.
