Man stopped for invalid license found in possession of meth 
Deputy Robert Watson of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Scott Ellis Davis, 44, address listed as Proctors Knob Road in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine and resisting a public officer.
At 9:07 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, Watson stopped a Chevrolet Malibu on Old Fort-Sugar Hill Road because he knew the driver did not have a valid license.
While being searched, Davis tried to run from officers and was found in possession of 1 gram of methamphetamine.
Old Fort police officers also charged him with traffic offenses.
