PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY - SEWAGE RELEASED INTO MOSES LAKE

A public health advisory has been issued for the waters of Moses Lake west of Stratford Road (Alder Fill) due to sewage spill from a broken sewer line in the area of the 300 block of Northshore Drive. This break was discovered around 6 p.m. today and was verified around 8 p.m. The exact amount of the release is not known at this time and that topic will be addressed by the City of Moses Lake.
 
The Grant County Health District is issuing an advisory until further notice, people should avoid lake water in that area, and also not use lake water for irrigation.
 
This is an evolving situation and officials are monitoring this incident and more information will be released Thursday morning.
