Shenandoah Court Update - Activity Clear
Update 8/28/19 3:35pm
On 8/28/19, at approximately 7:00am, the Fairfield Police Department received a call for assistance from the US Secret Service and US Marshal’s Service regarding a residence in the 3300 Block of Shenandoah Ct in the City of Fairfield. The Secret Service had gone to the residence as part of an investigation they are conducting and encountered an uncooperative person in the house who barricaded himself and refused to come out.
Fairfield PD responded to the residence and helped establish a perimeter. The SWAT Team was requested after several attempts of getting the suspect to exit the home. The Fairfield Police SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiations Team tried to establish contact with anyone inside, but received no response. Tear Gas was released inside of the house and six people eventually came out. They were turned over to the custody of the Federal Agents. Once Fairfield PD determined no additional people were in the house, the scent was turned back over to the custody of the Federal Agents to continue their investigation.
No suspects, officers, or civilians were injured during this incident. Fairfield PD turned the scene back over to federal agents at approximately 3:15pm.
Any inquiries to the nature of the incident and suspect(s) involved should be directed to the Sacramento Field Office of the United States Secret Service.
