This morning at approximately 5:10 a.m., a bicyclist was fatally struck by a motorist driving in the northbound lanes of Boyce Rd. between Auto Mall Pkwy and Stewart Ave.
The bicyclist has been tentatively ID’d as a 28 year old man. The driver is a 25 year old man from Ceres, California.
Officers are investigating whether drugs and/or alcohol are a factor. This is Fremont’s fifth fatal traffic collision in 2019.
Northbound Boyce Rd. is expected to be closed until at least 10:00 am.
