This afternoon, Sheriff P.J. Tanner and members of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management Division participated in the first conference call with the South Carolina Emergency Management Division regarding potential impacts of Tropical Storm Dorian on Beaufort County. Along with a discussion on coordination, a briefing from the National Weather Service (NWS) was included in the conference call. According to the NWS, and as of today, it is still too early to tell what impacts the storm may have on coastal Beaufort County.
