Excessive Heat Warning until 07:00PM

...DANGEROUS HEAT CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS... .The combination of hot temperatures and high relative humidity values will result in dangerous heat indices between 110 to 114 degrees across South Texas. Even higher heat indices of 115 to 117 degrees are expected across the southern Coastal Bend, which include the counties of Jim Wells, Kleberg, and Nueces. Take extreme caution with any outdoor plans. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 7 PM CDT this evening.

* TEMPERATURE...Heat indices of 115 to 117 degrees.

* IMPACTS...Greater risk of heat-related illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COASTAL KLEBERG ... INLAND KLEBERG ... COASTAL NUECES ... JIM WELLS ... INLAND NUECES

Instructions:

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely.
