* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Montgomery County in southeastern Kansas...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 725 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast of Elk City, or 8 miles west of Independence, moving east to southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Coffeyville, Independence, Cherryvale, Dearing, Elk City, Liberty, Bolton, Sycamore, Elk City Lake, Independence Airport, Coffeyville Airport and Elk City State Park.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONTGOMERY, KS
