Over the last 5 days, the Pomona Police Department has conducted direct enforcement along the E. Holt Ave. Corridor, an area commonly known for prostitution related activity. Using undercover officers as well as uniformed officers, 21 arrests were made for 647(b) PC- Prostitution, 266h PC- Pimping, and 653.22 PC- Loitering with the Intent to Commit Prostitution.
The Pomona Police Department takes a victim-centered approach in deterring human trafficking and prostitution in the City of Pomona. These types of operations serve as an opportunity for victims of human trafficking to speak with law enforcement and community advocates in an effort to provide them with available resources and relocate them to safe locations.
