INCIDENT TYPE: Homicide Investigators Need Help Identifying Person of Interest
INCIDENT LOCATION: 4135 Windhill Dr.
INDIANAPOLIS-Just before 7:30 a.m., on August 23, 2019, Officers of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were dispatched to 4135 Windhill Dr. on a person shot. When officers arrived, they located 16-year-male and 15-year-old female siblings with apparent gunshot wounds inside the residence. IEMS responded to the location and pronounced both deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives were called to the scene.
Just as the initial officers drove up a male proceeded to run from the officers. A foot pursuit ensued IMPD SWAT, K-9 officers and the IMPD Drone searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him.
The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death.
