August 13th

Stolen Vehicle (Recovery) Carmel St. / Lynn Ave:
At 9:43 am, an officer located a red 1995 Honda Odyssey which was reported stolen to the SFPD.

Residential Burglary – 6700 block of Hagen Blvd:
At 7:38 pm, an officer reports two unknown suspects attempted to enter the victim’s residence by prying open a back door. Upon opening the door, the home alarm went off, and scared the suspects off.

Vandalism – 9900 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 9:08 am, an officer reports the arrest of a 25-year-old male from El Cerrito after he damaged the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was booked at the ECPD and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Petty Theft – 2000 block of Mira Vista Dr:
At 9:24 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and removed a musical instrument. The suspect then fled the area.

August 14th

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Carmel St/Curry Ave:
At 5:13 pm, an officer reports the recovery of the victim’s 1999 Honda Civic, which was reported stolen to the Berkeley Police Department.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave and Stockton Ave:
At 12:02 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 22-year-old male from Sacramento, for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked then taken to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 15th

Theft – 11800 block of San Pablo Ave:
In between 1:00 am and 2:00 am, two male suspects cut a hole in the fence and stole the wheels and tires from a Honda Civic.

August 16th

Unauthorized Use of Access Cards – 9996 San Pablo Ave (Mechanics Bank):
At 8:54 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect fraudulently gained credit information for several bank accounts and was able to remove cash from the ATM.

Residential Burglary – 2600 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 5:36 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect gained entry into the victim’s residence and stole miscellaneous items.

August 17th

Grand Theft – 6100 block of Jordan Avenue:
At 9:05 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s Prius sometime during the night.

Grand Theft – 6100 block of Jordan Avenue:
At 9:36 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from a second Toyota Prius sometime during the night.

Warrant – parking lot of 11565 San Pablo Avenue (Walgreen’s):
An officer contacted a subject in the parking lot and found he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Avenue at Central Avenue:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and found the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released to a sober friend.

Drug possession – Ashbury Avenue at Fairmount Avenue:
An officer contacted a bicyclist for a vehicle code violation and found methamphetamine in his pocket during a search. The man was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and issued a citation and released.

August 18th

Stolen Vehicle Recovery – Fern St / Edna St:
At 10:07 am, an officer located the victim’s silver Honda Accord which had been stolen from another location in El Cerrito several days prior. The victim met with the officer and took possession of their vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle – 5400 block of Hillside Ave:
At 10:46 am, an officer reports the victim’s silver Volvo station wagon was taken from the driveway of a residence between 4 pm on the 17th and 8 am on the 18th.
