The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Central Grant County in eastern West Virginia... Northwestern Hardy County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 322 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. and heavy rain continues, especially between Kline Gap and Moorefield.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Moorefield, Petersburg, Maysville, Welton, Arthur, Scherr, Seymourville, Lahmansville, Streby, Rig, Cabins, Fisher, Medley, Kline Gap and Williamsport. This includes flood prone locations Highway 8 at Mill Creek... Highway 9 at North Mill Creek... Highway 220/2 along Johnson Run... and State Highway 28 at Dumpling Run near Harness Rd.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HARDY, WV ... GRANT, WV

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
