South Brunswick Police Department's National Night Out 2019 Drew Record Crowds!

South Brunswick Police Department's National Night Out 2019 celebration drew record crowds on August 6th, with over 7,100 attending the event!

Dozens of South Brunswick police officers worked with 80 volunteers to host a massive celebration for the community, an event designed to bring together the SBPD and our community members, public safety organizations, and local businesses.

"This event is only possible through the strong bond we share with our community," said Chief of Police Raymond Hayducka. "We'd like to thank the many volunteers who worked the event, the businesses that sponsored it, and all the emergency workers who came to make the night a success. As always, we'd like to thank Township Manager Bernard Hvozdovic, Mayor Charlie Carley, and the Town Council for their support."

The SBPD distributed 3,000 hot dogs, over 1,500 servings of popcorn, 1,200 bags of chips, more than 5,200 drinks, and 1,100 ice pops. There were games and prizes, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and carnival rides for the kids. This year marked a record number of offerings, and it was all free to our guests!

In addition to interactive displays by various police disciplines, South Brunswick's fire departments and first aid squads attended and showed off their skills and equipment to our attendees. The South Brunswick Municipal Alliance facilitated a health and wellness pavilion with displays and offerings by many organizations focused on healthy living.

National Night Out marks one of SBPD's biggest community events, and we couldn't be happier with this year's results. We've already begun preparations to make National Night Out 2020 even better!

The SBPD would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our volunteers, in addition to our valued sponsors, without whom the event would not have been possible:
