Deputies arrest Russell Troy of Loma Linda for Impersonating a Police Officer and Driving on a Suspended License

SUSPECT: Russell Troy, 30-years-old from Loma Linda
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, August 17, 2019, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Deputy Melissa Harrison from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department was performing a routine traffic stop. Deputy Harrison stopped a 2013 Toyota Yaris and made contact with the driver, Russell Troy, who claimed to be an off-duty police officer. Troy told Harrison he was an Upland Police Officer and showed her a Private Security Officer badge.
Through investigation, it was found that Troy was not a police officer and he had an unrelated traffic warrant. Troy was arrested for the above-mentioned charges and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center, where he was later cite released.
