The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Northeastern Orleans Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southwestern Hancock County in southern Mississippi...
* Until 300 PM CDT.
* At 206 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Slidell, Covington, Pearl River, Abita Springs, Madisonville, Lake Catherine, Pearlington, Lacombe and Slidell Airport. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ORLEANS, LA ... HANCOCK, MS ... ST. TAMMANY, LA
