Message:                 The Petaluma Police Department will no longer accept ammunition for destruction at the Police Station.   Effective August 16, 2019 the Petaluma Police Department will no longer accept ammunition for destruction from the public. The Petaluma Police Department in the past has accepted ammunition no longer wanted by the public or ammunition that had been damaged. However due to property storage constraints and the cost of disposing of the ammunition the police department will be discontinuing this practice.
 
Currently Petaluma Gun and Reloading located in Petaluma at 620 Petaluma Blvd. North #D accepts unwanted ammunition. For further information they can be contacted at 707-763-1258.
