#LASD Barricaded Kidnapping Suspect in Custody, 15300 Blk Bellflower Blvd, Bellflower

DATE:  Thursday, August 15, 2019
 
TIME:  Approximately 9:00 p.m.
 
LOCATION:  15300 block of Bellflower Boulevard, Bellflower
 
SUSPECT:  Male Adult

UNIT:  Special Enforcement Bureau

 
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Special Weapons Team responded to the 15300 block of Bellflower Boulevard, Bellflower to assist Lakewood Station deputies with a barricaded kidnapping suspect. 


Deputies from Lakewood Sheriff’s Station responded to the residence regarding a kidnapping suspect at location call.  Upon their arrival, the deputies attempted to contact the suspect, who retrieved the victim and barricaded himself inside the bedroom. Additional deputies responded to the location and established a containment.

SEB deputies assumed command of the tactical response.  LASD Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) personnel were also on scene in helping to bring a peaceful resolution to the incident. 

The surrounding residences were evacuated. 


On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 2:05 AM, SEB deputies made entry into the residence and took the suspect in custody. The victim was rescued. No injuries were reported during the incident.
