Suspected gang member parolee arrested with loaded concealed firearm.
On 08/14/19 at approximately 8 PM FTO Trouette and Ofc. Cooley were on routine patrol when they observed 25 year old Christian Estrella of Lakeport and Sonoma County standing next to his vehicle parked in front of his residence. Estrella is known to FTO Trouette to be on active CDC parole, as well an active gang member. Officers contacted Estrella and through the course of their search located a unregistered loaded 9mm pistol in the center console of the vehicle, which was easily within reaching distance of Estrella. Ofc Cooley placed Estrella under arrest and he was booked into the Lake County Jail on the following felony charges. 29800(A)(1)PC Prohibited person in possession of a firearm, 30305(A)(1)PC Prohibited person in possession of ammunition, 25400(6)(B)PC Concealed firearm not registered owner, 25400(A)(1)PC Concealed firearm in a vehicle, 25400(C)(1)PC Possession of firearm by persons with prior weapons charge and 3056PC Parole hold. Estrella has an extensive history of gang enhancements, weapons charges, assault and robbery.
We will continue our efforts to remove illegally possessed firearms from our community and arrest those persons possessing them.
