Lancaster Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 1700 block of West Avenue J-15 in Lancaster at approximately 5:30PM for a call regarding a female juvenile shot with a BB gun.
As the deputies were responding to the location, they received an update of a second call that a female juvenile was at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The suspect, Eddie Alvirez, male Hispanic (18), was in a bedroom which he shares with his two female Hispanic sisters. Alvirez was in possession of a handgun that he pointed at one of his sisters and shot. He fled the location on foot with the handgun.
His whereabouts are unknown at this time and the handgun is still outstanding.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau is responding to investigate the shooting death of a female juvenile. The incident was reported Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m., on the 1700 block West Avenue J15, Lancaster.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
