Deputies arrest PRCS felon for possession of firearm accessible to children.

SUSPECT(S): Rodney Griffith, 27-year old Victorville resident

SUMMARY: On August 8, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team were requested to assist San Bernardino County Probation officers with a search warrant at the home of Rodney Griffith, on 14700 block of Seneca Road.
During the search, deputies located a firearm and several rounds of ammunition concealed inside of a couch. Griffith lives with his girlfriend and her three minor children in the home. The firearm was loaded and unsecured in the family’s living area.
Griffith is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition as a condition of his parole. He was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and child cruelty.
