Highland deputies arrest a Mira Loma man for sexual assault of two children

LOCATION: Multiple locations – San Bernardino County, Riverside County, Los Angeles County
SUSPECT: Francisco Javier Oseguera Cervantes, 34-year-old resident of Mira Loma
VICTIM(S): Confidential – 2 female juveniles
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at about 12:18 P.M., Child and Family Services deputies assigned to the Highland Police Department followed up with a referral from the San Bernardino County Department of Children and Family Services regarding allegations of sexual abuse to a female child.
Deputies conducted an investigation and discovered two children were sexually abused over a period of time. One child was recently sexually assaulted at a residence in Highland. The other victim was sexually assaulted at multiple locations in Riverside County and Los Angeles County over a ten-year time period, which ended around 2016. The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Francisco Javier Oseguera Cervantes of Mira Loma.
Oseguera Cervantes was interviewed regarding the allegations and, at the conclusion of the investigation, he was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 288(a), lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14. On August 7, 2019, Oseguera Cervantes was released from custody on bail.
