Flash Flood Warning until 10:45PM

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Mercer County in central New Jersey... Somerset County in northern New Jersey... Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 1045 PM EDT Wednesday.

* At 438 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Carteret, Middlesex, Princeton, Bound Brook, Manville, Jamesburg, Hightstown, Cranbury and Hopewell. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. This includes the following highways... Garden State Parkway between mile markers 122 and 133. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 20.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MIDDLESEX, NJ ... SOMERSET, NJ ... MERCER, NJ

Instructions:

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
