The City of Fort Worth is under a Heat Advisory. Please take necessary precautions.

National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Fort Worth with temperatures ranging from 100 - 105. This is expected to continue durning the afternoon hours for the next few days. 

Residents looking for spaces to cool down can find relief from the heat ar City's Community Centers and library locations during regular service hours. 

Excessive heat is the #1 weather related cause of death or injury in North Central Texas. Take precautions when you are working outside by staying hydrated with water, sport drinks or clear fruit juices.  Take breaks and cool down.

With temps forecast to be above 100 degrees over the next several days Fort Worth residents should plan outdoor event accordingly.  Start yardwork early in the morning when it is still cool, stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and take breaks to rest in shady locations. Take care of the elderly, the sick and those without AC. Do not leave unattended children or pet inside vehicles.
