On August 6, 2019 at approximately 5:55 pm SVPD officers responded to the intersection of Tapo Canyon Rd. and Los Angeles Ave. for a roll over traffic collision. Upon further investigation the driver of the vehicle was found to have a blood alcohol content level of .08%. The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Victor Rivas (23 yrs.) from the City of Ventura. He was arrested and booked for a felony DUI.
