Deputies are investigating the cause of a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on Village Dr.

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: 16000 block of Village Drive, Victorville
VICTIM: Unidentified female adult
SUMMARY:
On August 2, 2019, Deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Village Drive near Oceanside Drive.
Upon arrival, deputies located a female adult lying on the south shoulder of Village, east of Oceanside. A bystander had begun to administer CPR to the female and deputies continued until paramedics arrived. The unidentified female was transported to a local hospital. She succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver of the car and her passenger remained at the scene and were cooperative with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the collision. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
