The Fairfield Police Department will be holding its 5th Annual National Night Out event this Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00 PM and will be ending with fireworks display at the Hollywood Avenue Park located 221 Hollywood Avenue.  There will be free food (hamburgers, hot dogs, meatball sandwiches, pizza, italian ice, zeppole's and much more) and water for all attendees.  There wer also be carnival-style games, a dunk tank, various businesses/organizations setting up tables with giveaways, a performance from Frozen characters, Elsa and Anna and much more. 
National Night Out occurs annually on the 1st Tuesday in August (except Texas which holds it 1st Tuesday in October) has been around for over 35 years in the United States and enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.  It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.  All are welcome and we hope to see you there!!  Thank you to everyone that helped make this event possible!!
