Dense Fog Advisory until 10:00AM

...Areas of Dense Fog Will Impact the Region This Morning... .Areas of dense fog were expanding across the area, impacting such regions as most of the Interstate-81, Interstate-77, and Interstate-64 corridors in Virginia and portions of the Interstate-64 corridor within West Virginia. The region along and near the New River also had dense fog from the mountains of North Carolina downstream into the Radford, VA region. The fog is expected to continue for a couple hours after sunrise, finally dissipating around 1000 AM EDT. The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning.

* Visibilities...Near zero in some locations.

* Timing...Through mid-morning.

* Impacts...Greatly reduced visibility while driving.

* Locations...Valleys of southwest Virginia, southeast West Virginia, and Northern Mountains of North Carolina.

* Hazards...Dense fog.
