Coastal Flood Warning until 01:00AM Friday
...MODERATE TO MAJOR COASTAL FLOODING THIS EVENING ACROSS COASTAL PORTIONS OF SOUTH COASTAL SOUTH CAROLINA AND NORTH COASTAL GEORGIA... .Elevated tides will cause saltwater inundation in low- lying areas of south coastal South Carolina and north coastal Georgia tonight. The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 1 AM EDT Friday. The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.
* LOCATIONS...Beaufort, Coastal Colleton and Charleston.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...One to two feet of saltwater inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. Significant saltwater inundation will render numerous roads impassable, especially in Downtown Charleston. Properties may also flood.
* TIMING...High tide will occur around 911 PM in Charleston Harbor and around 1019 PM in the Beaufort River at Beaufort. Saltwater inundation will be possible 2 to 3 hours before and after high tide.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BEAUFORT ... CHARLESTON ... COASTAL COLLETON

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
