Detectives are searching for additional suspects who were involved in a shooting following a fight at Hook Park

DATE/TIME: July 18, 2019 / 1:03am

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, Attempted Murder

LOCATION: Hook Park, 14900 block of Joshua Street, Victorville

SUSPECTS: Heather Shiree Chambers, 22-year-old San Bernardino resident
Davante McConnell, 25-year old Muscoy resident

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On July 18, 2019, at approximately 12:15 am, there was a disturbance in the 15100 block of Pasture Road, Victorville. Deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the location and disbursed the subjects. At approximately 1:03 am, several subjects from the previous disturbance met at Hook Park in Victorville where physical fighting occurred between several of the females and males. The fighting escalated, and at least two subjects brandished firearms, and a shooting ensued.

The victims of the shooting fled in a vehicle which was struck several times by gunfire. The driver of the vehicle was struck by gunfire but was able to continue to drive away. While driving to a local hospital, the victims were involved in a traffic collision, with an unrelated vehicle, at Hook Blvd and Roy Rogers Drive. The victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Detectives responded and through their investigation identified two involved suspects; Heather Chambers and Davante McConnell. Chambers was arrested on July 24, 2019 and booked at Central Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon. McConnell was arrested on July 29, 2019 and booked at Central Detention Center for attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a crime.
