Last call to register for "National Night Out" against crime on Tues Aug 6th

Last call to register for National Night Out!

On Tuesday, August 6th, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., residents in neighborhoods throughout North Aurora and across the nation, are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.  We're looking for residents to host their neighbors and register your event to receive visits from officers, fire trucks, and McGruff the Crime Dog!  You can choose the times for your own event.

Many neighborhoods throughout North Aurora host a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, and other gatherings.  There will be visits from police, including McGruff the Crime Dog, and the fire department.  We’ll be showing off our vehicles and interacting with the residents and kids.

Please contact Crime Prevention Officer Robyn Stecklein by Monday, if you are hosting, so we can put you on our list to ensure that officers and McGruff visit you.  Officer Stecklein can be reached at (630) 906-8146 or [email protected]. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to Officer Stecklein.
