Seven Arrested in Connection with June Shooting

San Mateo Police Department identified and arrested seven suspects responsible for a gun battle outside of a San Mateo bar in June.

San Mateo, CA – On Thursday, July 25, 2019, San Mateo Police Department detectives, North Central Regional S.W.A.T., and various law enforcement partners served seven arrest warrants and four search warrants across California resulting in the arrest of seven suspects involved in a shooting outside of a local San Mateo bar. A round-the-clock investigation led detectives to suspects in the counties of Alameda, Orange, San Joaquin, and San Mateo. All seven criminals were taken into custody and search warrants were served.

On Sunday, June 23, 2019, at 12:30 A.M. San Mateo Police Department officers were called to investigate a shooting that occurred in the 500 block of S. Norfolk Street. SMPD learned the shooting was an isolated incident connected to a disturbance outside of Club Shoreview, a local San Mateo bar, and not a random attack. Thankfully, only one uninvolved person received a minor injury, despite dozens of shots being fired. The Department launched an intensive investigation to bring the responsible parties to justice, which led them to homes across California.
