ECPD seeks robbery suspect

Crime: Home Invasion
On July 22nd, at 11:44 am, El Cerrito Police Officers responded to the 7100 block of Donal Avenue on the report of a residential burglary in progress. The resident reported that an unknown suspect armed with a handgun entered the home through the front door. Fortunately, the victim fled the residence to a safe location and called 911. Officers searched for the suspect with a police K-9 and CHP helicopter, but were unsuccessful in locating him. No property was taken from the victim’s home. The suspect is described as being a Hispanic male wearing a dark colored hoodie.
While canvassing the neighborhood for any witnesses, officers obtained a video surveillance recording of a possible get-a-way vehicle. The vehicle is a white 4-door Acura TL with custom wheels.
