Modesto CA – The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the four Detectives involved in a shooting on July 17th, 2019 that occurred at the intersection of Vine Street and S. Madison Street, in Modesto. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Detectives involved in the incident are:
Detective David Corder (5 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office)
Detective Brock Dias (6 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office)
Detective Phillip Harris (6 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office)
Detective Daniel Hutsell (12 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office)
All four Detectives are members of the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and were working in that function at the time of the incident.
“Any time our Deputies are involved in a shooting, it affects the community, the Deputies, and the family of the suspect,” said Stanislaus County Sheriff Jeff Dirkse. “Our goal is to be transparent, honest and efficient for the benefit of the community we serve and those affected by this incident.”
The incident is being investigated by the Modesto Police Department and Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an internal investigation.
