Severe thunderstorms came through the Township at approximately 6:00 PM last night and strong wind gusts caused damage to vehicles, residences, and power lines.  The Bordentown Township Municipal building remains without power and is closed today as well as the Bordentown Township/Chesterfield Township joint court offfice.  The court session scheduled for Wednesday, July 24th, is also cancelled. Several traffic lights in the Township are not functioning and the BTPD has regulated these intersections with cones.  Please do not move or drive through the cones. The Bordentown Township Public Works Recycling Center located at 266 Crosswicks Rd. is offering a place to charge your phone -- bring your own charger. The Bordentown Regional School District is also opening the Middle School, located at 50 Dunns Mill Rd., to allow residents to charge their phones today between the hours of 12pm and 4pm.
