Many roads still closed and many areas in town are still without power. PSEG working to restore
Last night's storm resulted in many trees coming down closing roads and causing power outages throughout the Township. DPW employees worked diligently from the beginning of the event to clear trees and keep roads open. PSEG has been working through the night to restore power. If your power is out, go to http://www.pseg.com/outagecenter for an expected restoration time. Stay clear of downed wires. As you go out on the roads this morning, use extreme care. Due to power outages many traffic lights are out. Temporary stop signs have been deployed. Watch for ponding on roads due to the heavy rain. Plan on extra time, go slow and arrive at your destination safely.
The following roads are still closed awaiting PSEG to clear wires.
Pleasant Valley Ave. between HIghland & Edgemoor.
E. Maple Ave. between Mill St. & Lippincott Ave.
Garwood Rd. near the bridge
E. Third St. near Zelly Ave.
Union St. between Third and Main St.
Be Safe Out There!
