36th Annual National Night Out Event
The Escondido Police Department will celebrate the 36th Annual Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 6th at East Valley Community Center from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. National Night Out is an opportunity for citizens across America to send a powerful message about the importance of neighborhood unity, awareness, safety and police-community partnerships.
We invite your family and friends for an evening of fun for all, activities for youth, and entertainment. Community Organizations will be on hand to provide information and resources relating to crime prevention, drug and violence prevention, education, health and safety. Law Enforcement vehicles will be on display and a free opportunity drawing will be held at the end of the evening. One of special prizes this year, will be an opportunity to go through police officer training on the “Virtual Training Simulator” at Escondido Police Department. Some of the children’s activities will include fingerprinting, face painting, jump house, bike rodeo (must bring bicycle/scooter and helmet) and interactive displays at the various booths.
