Work continues on Main Street this week, with the contractor replacing water services, heading east from Gardner Place. The contractor will hand deliver notices to each property that will be affected. Water service interruptions for each property will typically last no more than 15 minutes.

On Thursday, July 25th, the contractor will be connecting the new water main on Main Street to the existing water mains on Fourth Street and Gardner Place. This will require a temporary water service interruption lasting several hours. See attached map indicating the streets that will be affected. The contractor will also hand deliver notices to the affected properties.

Concrete curb and sidewalk replacement at intersections also progresses.

One-lane traffic will be maintained on Main St. At times, side streets along this stretch may be closed to through traffic. In such cases, local traffic may access these streets from the other end, opposite Main St. Please comply with all construction signage and flaggers. During working hours, the traffic signals at Walling Ave and Third St may be placed in "flash" mode, in which case drivers should proceed with caution, being sure to follow all directions given by flaggers. It is strongly recommended that through traffic utilize Interstate 88 via Exits 15 and 16 to bypass the project, whenever possible.

All businesses within the work zone will remain accessible during the work. FOX HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ACCESS will be maintained at all times. Emergency Room walk-ins may access this entrance by following flaggers instructions. All will be accommodated.
