Flash Flood Watch until 10:00PM

...Flash Flood Watch Much of Middle Tennessee Through This Evening... .Showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall will spread across the area today and this evening. This will occur a a cold front moves into the very humid air in place across Tennessee. Some of the rainfall will be quite heavy, with several inches of rainfall in some spots. This could lead to flash flooding in a very short amount of time. The rainfall will taper off by late tonight. The National Weather Service in Nashville has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Coffee, Davidson, Dickson, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Humphreys, Lawrence, Lewis, Marshall, Maury, Perry, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, Williamson, and Wilson.

* Through this evening.

* Heavy rainfall is expected with 2 to 3 inches possible in some spots.

* Street flooding will be a hazard for travelers. Low-lying and poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as well as creeks and streams.
