Pomona Police Investigators continue their investigation into the homicide which occurred on the evening of Saturday, July 20th at the Park and Ride (1810 &19 Gillette Rd.) in the City of Pomona.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Budd Rashad Jamal of Long Beach. At this time, the investigation remains ongoing and there is no further information available to release.

The Pomona Police Department was advised of shots fired in the area of the 1800 Blk of Gillette Rd at 10:17 pm. Numerous people were leaving a party in the area and returning to their parked vehicles in the Park and Ride lot.
A victim was found suffering from a gun shot wound. The victim did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
We are actively working the scene to obtain additional information and interview witnesses.
