Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the dead body found in Las Flores Canyon in Altadena.
 
Detectives have learned that on Friday, July 19, 2019, at approximately 8:52 PM,  Altadena Mountain Rescue Team was activated to assist in the investigation of a tent with a foul odor emanating from it. A tent was located off the dirt road leading to a water tank in Las Flores Canyon. IN side the tent a deceased person was found. 
 
The body appeared to be long decomposed and there was no sign of trauma or foul play.
  
The reason of the death is unknown.
 
The investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information at this time.
