ATTN: Burlington City residents, a Cooling Center will be open at City Hall, Saturday & Sunday from Noon to 4 PM.
Due to the dangerously hot weather expected this weekend, the City of Burlington will open a Cooling Center at Burlington City Hall on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of Noon to 4:00PM.
Residents are welcome to enter through the double doors located behind the flag poles on Belmont Street. Residents may sit in Council Chambers to seek some shelter from the heat. Lavatories and water fountains are available for use.
Burlington County has also opened Cooling centers located at the Burlington County Library and Moorestown Mall. The Burlington County Library will be open on Saturday from 9AM to 5PM. The Moorestown Mall will be open Saturday from 10AM to 9PM and on Sunday from 11AM to 5PM.
Instructions:
Please seek shelter from the excessive heat. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air conditioning or use a fan and check on elderly neighbors. In an emergency, please call 911 if overcome by the excessive heat.
