Detective Richard Francis named Ripon Chamber of Commerce Officer of the Year two years running 
Last night Detective Richard Francis received the Ripon Chamber of Commerce Officer of the year award for the second consecutive year. Detective Francis is a 12 year veteran of law enforcement. He started his career as an officer for the Escalon Police Department, and joined the Ripon Police Department in 2014.
During his time in law enforcement, Detective Francis has worked many special assignments, such as Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, Range Master, and Detective.
He is currently working in the Special Investigations Unit and is part of the San Joaquin County Identity Theft Task Force. He is committed to serving this community and embodies the mission and vision statements of this department with enthusiasm and integrity.
