FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION
On Thursday, July 18, 2019, at approximately 12:44 a.m., the Culver City Police Department received notification of a traffic collision on La Cienega Bl. near Wrightcrest Dr. involving a motorcycle and one vehicle. Prior to Culver City officers’ arrival, California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Police Department personnel were assisting the injured motorcyclist.
The preliminary investigation reveals the driver of both the vehicle and motorcycle were traveling southbound La Cienega Bl. when the collision occurred. The motorcyclist was treated by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel on scene but succumbed to his injuries before arriving at Cedars Sinai. Identification of the victim is pending notification of kin.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained on scene. Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the collision at this time.
