Power Outage in parts of the City continues Extreme Heat Continues Cooling Centers Open 
PSE&G is addressing the power outage situation in the City additional temporary power outages may occur during the repair. Everyone without power is urged to keep your refrigerators closed to preserve contents as much as possible. Please check on your neighbors and venerable population. Dial 9-1-1 for any emergencies to contact police dial 732-442-4400.
The City cooling centers are open as indicated below if you cannot make it to one of the designated centers you can go to any City building and speak to City staff and transportation will be provided.
All residents are reminded to limit outside exposure and to remain hydrated during this extreme heat situation.
PERTH AMBOY, NJ— The Office of Emergency Management has designated three cooling centers due to high temperatures.
Alexander F. Jankowski Community Center located at 1 Olive Street:
Open M-F from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Raritan Bay Area YMCA located at 357 New Brunswick Avenue:
Open M-F from 5:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Perth Amboy Public Library located at 196 Jefferson Street:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday and Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: CLOSED
