Flood Advisory until 12:00AM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... Southeastern Weakley County in western Tennessee... Northern Benton County in western Tennessee... Northern Carroll County in western Tennessee... Southern Henry County in western Tennessee...

* Until midnight CDT.

* At 954 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paris, McKenzie, Huntingdon, Camden, Bruceton, Gleason, Routon, Vale, Springville, Hollow Rock, Big Sandy, Henry, Mansfield, Old Springville, Sunnyside, Ephesus, Wingo, Jarrell, New Zion and Haigler Ridge. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HENRY, TN ... BENTON, TN ... CARROLL, TN ... WEAKLEY, TN

Instructions:

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
