Detectives are searching for a man who raped a woman in the parking lot of the 99 Cent store

LOCATION: 17200 block of Main Street
SUSPECT: Unknown - black male, approximately 30 years old
5’10”, 200 pounds – last seen wearing a black hat with a yellow symbol, a yellow t-shirt, black pants and had a backpack on. The suspect also has the letter “P” and word “King” tattooed on his forearms and was missing one of his front teeth
SUMMARY:
On Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11:20 a.m. Sheriff’s dispatch received a call regarding a rape that occurred in the 99 Cent store parking lot in the 17200 block of Main Street.
The victim stated while she was in the parking lot of the 99 Cent store, an unknown black male grabbed the victim from behind and pushed her into the back seat of her vehicle. While in the back seat of the vehicle, the suspect forced himself onto the victim and raped her. The suspect then fled on foot, running towards Fast Trip gas station and left in a tan SUV. The suspect also took the victim’s cell phone and wallet.
The suspect is described as a black male adult, approximately 30 years old, 5’10”, 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hat with a yellow symbol, a yellow t-shirt, black pants, and had a backpack on. The suspect also had the letter “P” and word “King” tattooed on his forearms and was missing one of his front teeth.
Nearby business surveillance cameras were checked with no suspect leads at this time. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact the Hesperia Station, Detective McDaniel at (760)947-1500.
