Dangerous heat this week
As you've probably heard, it's going to really hot the next few days, potentially dangerously hot--heat indexes from 102 to 113 degrees in our area, which is under an Excessive Heat Watch!

If you find yourself without air conditioning and/or need a place to cool down, the North Aurora Police Department (200 S. Lincolnway) is a cooling center open to the public weekdays 7am to 10pm. The Messenger Public Library (113 Oak St.) is also a cooling center during normal business hours (Mon-Fri 9am-9pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 1pm-5pm).
